Students who are in an approved Derry Township Homeschool Program are eligible to participate in Hershey High School offerings as follows:

Requirements for Participation
Students:
Parents/Guardians:
District:
- Meets the eligibility criteria or their equivalent for participation in the co-curricular or an academic course that applies to students enrolled full time in the school district.
- Meets the prerequisite criteria or their equivalent (to include final exam for prerequisite course) for participation in the co-curricular or an academic course that apply to students enrolled in the district full time.
- Complies with all policies, rules and regulations or their equivalent of the school district of residence.
- May enroll in up to 2 courses (not to exceed 25% of the full time course load).
- Students must follow all rules and regulations as outlined in the Hershey High School Handbook.
Parents/Guardians:
- The parent or legal guardian of the child shall be responsible for transportation of the child to and from school for the selected courses, except that a home education student may utilize district transportation to or from the school district at the times a bus is otherwise already operating and space is available. *Noting students may only be present for the chosen academic/co-curricular activity.
District:
- School district of residence shall provide the grade for co-curricular or academic course to the home education program supervisor.
*Home school students can attend career and technical education at DCTS or classes at the discretion of the local school district through the end of the 24/25 school year.
